Our Hall of Fame

In our trophy room you will be able to see some of the red deers and mouflon rams taken by our clients, in most cases the game was stalked, some waiting on blinds, trails or treestands.

I have had the good fortune of traveling the world with bow in hand. In the process, I have had some amazing experiences-not all necessarily involved the taking of wildlife. In my opinion, there is so much more to bow hunting than drawing a string, settling a sight, releasing an arrow, and watching it sail home. I enjoy planning, executing the plan, traveling to and from with good friends, meeting new lifelong friends, hunting within unfamiliar territory (taking my game to another court), sampling fine cuisine, sightseeing, and so much more. Happiness with zero expectations means everything to me. For me, it’s where adventure meets discovery! Coming home with antlers and/or horns is merely icing on the cake! I evaluate every adventure by asking myself one simple question. Would I go back? If the answer is yes, then I consider my time away a success...

... In 2017, I traveled to a little unknown location near Madrid, Spain. I was there to hunt Iberian Red Deer, Eurasian Wild Boar, and Iberian Mouflon. I arrived at Acornland and was greeted by Ivan de Gregorio. Ivan helped me stow my bow and find my perfect en suite room. Over a good glass of Spanish wine, we spent the evening building up anticipation for the next morning’s hunt. Ivan even took the time to unfold the story behind the several century old converted convent I’d call home for the next five days. I was as euphoric as a person could be!

Acornland, a 9000 acre slice of Heaven, is divided into eight sections. Thus, eight different bow hunters can hunt, at any given time, in their exclusive region of the property. I drew section eight and shared the camp with 5 other gentlemen. It did not take me long to realize just how bountiful Acornland actually was! In five days, I was sightings on average 10-15 feral hogs, 15-30 mouflon, and 40-60 red deer per day. As far as spot and stalk hunting, I give Acornland a 15 on a 1 to 10 scale. Truly, this place is that good! I can honestly say I have never been to such a place with ample cover and ample game.
I am definitely looking forward to a return trip!

I assure you, any bow hunter at any level is in good hands. At Acornland,
you are treated like family.
